Good to know before you start

Temporary chat is the private AI chat mode of AI Chat Pro. When you start one, the conversation is not saved to your chat history. It does not appear in the sidebar later, so your list stays reserved for the projects you want to keep.

Starting a private AI chat

On the right side of the message field there is a Temporary Chat button. Click it before you write, and the next conversation runs as a temporary one. You use the same models as in a normal chat.

When a private AI chat makes sense

Use it for a quick question you will never need again, such as a unit conversion or a word in another language. It also suits a personal topic you would rather not keep next to work chats. Before you use a new prompt or a new model in a project, test it here first. And when you show the tool to a client, your history stays off the screen.

Temporary chat and memory

AI Memory keeps your personal instructions for normal chats. Temporary chat is for conversations you don’t want to keep. If a temporary conversation turns out to be useful, copy the important part before you leave it.

Who uses it

Freelancers who share their screen with clients. Team leads trying out a prompt before rolling it out. Parents asking a quick question about school homework on a work account. Anyone who likes a tidy sidebar where every saved conversation belongs to a real project or client.

Normal chat, folder or temporary

Use a normal chat for work you will continue, a folder for everything around one client or project, and a temporary chat for questions you won’t need again. That simple rule keeps your history useful when you search it months later.

What stays the same

A temporary chat still runs on the models of AI Chat Pro. You get the same answer quality as in a normal conversation. The only difference is what happens afterwards: nothing is added to your list of chats, and there is no thread to reopen later.

Tips for a private AI chat

Decide before you start: once you leave a temporary chat, you can’t find it in your list. Still avoid sharing passwords or other secrets, even in a private chat. Files you upload may still appear in your content manager, and the app says so when you turn the mode on. For work you will continue tomorrow, start a normal chat and put it into a folder.
